SIP Domain Hosting

Take your domain branding one step further by making your email address match your SIP address.

When you sign up for an OnSIP account, your SIP addresses (one for each user, application, etc.) default to a private sub-domain of OnSIP, as follows:

worldwidewidgets.onsip.com

and all of your sip addresses look like this:

sip:john@worldwidewidgets.onsip.com

For free, you can drop the OnSIP domain name. You can use the actual registered domain of your company to get SIP addresses that look exactly like your email:

sip:john@worldwidewidgets.com

Looks great on business cards! And now, someone can call you using the same address as your email address!

To do this, you will need:

  • An OnSIP account (FREE, if you are just using SIP calling)
  • Access to your DNS provider controls
  • A DNS provider that supports SRV (Service) records. For our purposes here, an SRV record tells your DNS provider the SIP server it should route your incoming SIP traffic to. In this case, that's our server: sip.onsip.com.
