Digium just announced Skype for Asterisk. If we created a Skype gateway for OnSIP would you use it? Comment below or send e-mail directly to Mike.

We would definitely use a Skype gateway if offered.


We're always looking for some type of integrated video conferencing solution. It only makes sense to integrate this into my.onsip.com instead of having to open yet another application. The more applications or windows required to have running only slows down adoption.

Our business advertises our Skype address, but frankly, it's rarely used by prospects. The idea is great, but I'm not sure the customer demand is strong enough to really be much of a factor either way.

We have several customers in Africa and an employe in Paris. He uses Skype extensively to communicate with our African customers and it would be slick indeed if there was a way to unify the experience where he could call them from his OnSIP extension and they could call his OnSIP extension from their Skype accounts.
