2021 All Wrapped Up

by Larry Browne

OnSIP Customer Experience leader extraordinaire Larry Browne recaps an interesting 2021 complete with new projects, accolades, and continued pandemic hoops.

When I was asked to craft a missive on the year that was 2021, I was honored. I knew I had big shoes to fill, (figuratively and literally, with Mike Oeth’s and Rob Wolpov’s departures this year), but thought I was up to the challenge.

I may have miscalculated.

The year 2021 was almost as challenging for OnSIP as 2020. It was another year of change, another year apart as we navigate the pandemic, another year of upheaval.

On the development front, we started a project that was long overdue—an overhaul of the admin portal. As the days of 2021 tick down, we are close to having most admin functions available in the OnSIP web app! With the majority of admin functionality moved over, our award-winning app is a one-stop OnSIP shop.

In addition to all of the features you know and love for administering your OnSIP PBX, our developers have added wonderful functionality for audio recordings and greetings: you can now record them in the auto attendant and announcements without leaving the page or needing to call in to the recording manager. You still can use the recording manager or upload a .wav file, but this additional function makes it much easier for the admin-on-the-go to record. Users can do the same in the app for voicemail boxes.

The Customer Success team, now known as the Customer Experience team, was awarded the 2021 Excellence in Customer Service Award from the Business Intelligence Group for the third straight year. We’ve known how good our team is for years, but this brings well-deserved outside attention to the great work the team does every day.

The past 2 years have been challenging for all of us. Here at OnSIP, we’re proud that we continued to give our customers a great product with even better support.

Here’s to a better 2022!
