Last Wednesday, Telstra hosted Women in the Channel’s first Northeast Regional Mixer of 2017 in New York City. Our very own Helene Kidary, Vice President Channel Sales of OnSIP, was invited to speak at the event with fellow Women in the Channel (WiC) members from across IT and the Channel.

An Evening Roundtable

The evening roundtable took place at Telstra’s NYC office.

WiC members were invited to an evening discussion hosted by Amy Rosen, US Country Managing Director and General Counsel at Telstra, alongside Helene Kidary, Board Member & Chair of the Membership Committee of Women in the Channel, and guest speaker Ellie Sweeney, Executive Director, Global Sales at Telstra.

The informal roundtable took place at Telstra’s offices in the Financial District of Manhattan, and included complimentary treats and drinks. The conversation covered topics from taking on risks and being a purpose-led leader, to the current landscape for women in telecommunications and IT services.

“I first began working with Telstra in 1996 when I was on the carrier side of telecom. As the PTT of Australia, they were always ahead of the curve in product offerings and cutting edge technology with a fantastic group of employees. Meeting up with Team-Telstra 20 years later has shown me nothing has changed! It was also great to reconnect with old friends as well as make new ones; what a moving and powerful display of women.” - Helene Kidary
