The following review was conducted in October 2017.

The Polycom Soundstation IP 7000 was for many years the conference phone of choice at OnSIP. We used it every Wednesday for our engineering meeting and every Friday for our all-hands meeting. Since we have many remote employees in various locations across the country (and at times, in other countries), it's essential that everyone can join a conference call with reliable sound quality.

In this phone review, we take a look at how the Polycom Soundstation IP 7000 conference phone has held up over the years. Read on to learn about its features, audio range, sound quality, and more.

Yealink CP860 star_orange_24 star_orange_24 star_orange_24 star_orange_24 star_grey_24

The following review was conducted in July 2016.

We’re big fans of the most recent phones from Yealink. When we heard Yealink had a new conference phone, we were interested to see how the company would add innovation to a device that is notoriously resistant to redesign. The Yealink CP860 is the company's first foray into the conference phone market.

Grandstream GAC2500 star_orange_24 star_orange_24 star_orange_24 star_orange_24 star_orange_24

The following review was conducted in October 2015.

The Grandstream GAC2500 is the first conference phone from the company.  It follows in the path of the GXV3275 and 3240 as a touch screen Android device. The smartphone-esque feel makes it sleeker than the conference phones we've become accustomed to, and the inclusion of this sort of interface means that the GAC2500 has already broken new ground, before we even start the review.

VTech ErisStation (VCS754) star_orange_24 star_orange_24 star_orange_24 star_orange_24 star_grey_24

The following review was conducted in August 2015.

The VTech ErisStation® is an affordable SIP-based conference phone with solid features and a reasonable price. The main draw of the ErisStation is the four wireless mics that can be deployed throughout the room to increase voice range. This is helpful for any company that's having trouble getting everybody's voice heard on the conference call.

Polycom Soundstation IP 6000 star_orange_24 star_orange_24 star_orange_24 star_orange_24 star_orange_24

The following review was conducted in September 2010.

The Polycom Soundstation IP 6000 and 7000 VoIP conference phones were first introduced back in 2008 to replace the aging IP 4000 model. Earlier this year, the more petite IP 5000 was released for smaller conference rooms and executive offices. Together, these three models make up all of the currently available SIP VoIP hardware in the company’s long-running Soundstation series, a line of conferencing products that goes back to the company’s beginnings in the early 1990s. If you’ve ever wondered why we say Polycom speakerphones are a cut above the rest, now you know—they’ve been perfecting it for almost 20 years!
