AAccess Network Communications has been an OnSIP agent for more than four years, and partner Dylan Schlossberg recently obtained a pass to the Channel Partners Expo from us. We were excited to learn that Aaccess was planning on attending the Expo in Vegas, so we got in touch with Dylan to discuss why he's going and his plan of action while at the event.
This is not Dylan's first time at the Expo. He attended the one in Spring 2011, and believes that the event offers great networking opportunities. Last year, he made many new acquaintances, and eventually became an agent / reseller for new providers he met at the show. This time around, he has a better picture of what the event offers and how he can best utilize the four Expo days.
Dylan plans to immerse himself in networking with service providers and other agents, looking for ways to market his services, for new products to incorporate into his portfolio, and in general, to generate more business. "The event is a great platform to learn about upcoming products and learn about new features, given the plethora of companies that plan to unveil new products/features or programs," he says. Like all channel partners at the event, he'll be learning new ways to retain current clients and court new ones.
"The last event was particularly helpful to re-ignite relationships that had fizzled out - I met some people I had worked with earlier and figured out ways to rejuvenate the business," Dylan continued. He has his sights set on three different networking opportunities - the Agent-VAR Partnering Best Practices workshop, the Peer-to-Peer Networking Mixer and the Selling Techniques Luncheon.

There are a number of "conference tracks" and other educational and networking opportunities as well - the agenda at the Channel Partners website details the event listings. If you are attending the Expo for the first time, the multitude of options might be tempting, but checking out the popular workshops and mixers is a sure way of getting started on a great note.
Dylan's goals for the event mirror some of our own - we consider the Channel Partners Conference and Expo one of the most important events of the year and will be attending in full force to make the best use of the four days there. Channel Manager Andy Ogg will be looking for agents interested in reselling OnSIP, and is hoping to meet many of our current agents too. We’ve recently redesigned our website and revamped our brand identity, and Andy will be introducing the new agent features. We’re very excited to show off our new look!
