OnSIP Sponsors Semiannual Networking and Education Event for Women In The Channel

February 11, 2014 – Los Angeles, CA – Women in the Channel (WiC), a not for profit organization dedicated to accelerating the growth of female channel leaders in technology, today announced that it is hosting its seventh semiannual networking and education event in conjunction with the 2014Channel Partners Conference and Expo. The networking event will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at 5:00 P.M. at the Burnham Ballroom in the Venetian and Sands Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada.   

The event, sponsored by Channel PartnersOnSIPTelePacific Communications, and WTG, along with media sponsors, Telecom Brokers and Oncore Media and raffle sponsors, BMG Consulting andTelarus, is a volunteer organized evening and includes an hour of networking with a hosted bar followed by two great education sessions sure to inspire. 
                  
“We expect more than one hundred women in attendance from across the country,” said Hilary Gadda, co-chair of the evening’s event, WiC board member and director of channel sales at TelePacific Communications. “Every event draws more attendees which is a testament to the consistent caliber of the evening’s programming and speakers.”

This year’s lineup includes welcome remarks from Khali Henderson, Editor-in-Chief for Channel Partners and keynotes from Deb Ward, CEO of TSI and Angela Leavitt, Chief Mojo-Making Officer at Mojo Marketing.WiC board member and CEO of BMG ConsultingBita Milanian will act as the master of ceremony. 

During WiCs networking event, Ms. Ward will share “My journey to success in a male dominated telecom industry.”  Ms. Ward is a seasoned and respected veteran in the telecom industry. In 1999 she founded TSI and continues to serve as CEO. TSI is a nationwide switchless reseller of local and long distance services. Additionally Ms. Ward has earned a position on the Board of Comptel in its Executive and Membership Committees, and is a regular participant in industry webinars, trade association panels and executive committee forums. Ms. Ward is one of the few female CEOs in a male dominated and highly competitive telecom space, and is a regular contributor to various groups devoted to the promotion of females in executive leadership positions. 

WiC is also calling on the experience and talent of its own member, Angela Leavitt of Mojo Marketing who will be giving her presentation “Traditional Lead Gen is as Dead as the Scrunchie." In her session, Ms. Leavitt will share her expertise on how to leverage the “Connection Economy” to build partnerships, increase visibility and influence to generate growth opportunities. Formerly the director of marketing for a leading hosted PBX provider, Angela founded Mojo Marketing in 2010. With 13 full time employees and nearly 100% growth each year since its start, Mojo is one of the only full-service marketing agencies focused exclusively in the telecom, IT and cloud industries. Passionate about marketing and telecommunications, Angela is also a blogger and self-proclaimed social media addict. She frequently writes, speaks and records videos for Channel Partners, sharing sales and marketing tips, ideas and strategies. 

Each session will be followed by facilitated roundtables, giving participants an opportunity to synthesize the key learnings from the speakers and translate them into potential action.
