The buzz for this event is heating up on Twitter, Facebook, and in the blogosphere. With over 3,000 attendees last spring, the Channel Partners Conference & Expo is the communications industry's largest event for indirect sales organizations.
I personally attended the last Channel Partners fall conference in Chicago, and that proved to be a great opportunity for networking and new business partnerships. To name one, I met Graham Francis of The SIP School just in passing booths on the expo floor. We discussed The SIP School's mission to provide a global standard of SIP training and certification to thousands of employees in the telecommunications industry. Immediately, I had two notions: 1. Graham has a British accent that rivals our very own Tim Cleves', which always makes SIP sound that much more sophisticated (listen to us on the VUC!), and 2. The SIP School didn't have their own SIP domain to provide SIP addresses.
During our quick meet amongst the expo booths, I let Graham know that we provide free SIP domain hosting, and the rest was history... In January 2012, The SIP School began provisioning free SIP addresses to their customers via our API, which was a good value-add for their service and great exposure for us. But back to Channel Partners Spring 2012. Did I mention it's in Vegas? This plethora of networking events, workshops, exhibitors, and prizes will be taking place in one of the most fun places to be in the country.
I plan to attend the Annual Women in the Channel Networking Event on Monday, March 26th, to kick off the week. After that, it'll be a flurry of workshops and cruising the expo floor. The OnSIP team will be exhibiting at booth #626, and we're bringing along a bunch of people this time.
