Even if you don't know who Allison Smith is, it's quite possible you've heard her voice.
Allison Smith, "the voice of Asterisk," is an Internationally recognized voice talent. She has recorded Interactive Voice Responses (IVRs) for Fortune 500 companies, including Verizon, PetSmart, Vonage, Sprint, Bell Canada, and more. Back in April during a popular OnSIP agent webinar, Allison taught us tips and tricks for recording phone system greetings and prompts. As she's basically a celeb in the telephony world, we like to check out her latest endeavors. Here is one we recommend: her fun (and free) series of IVR recordings, "Asterisk Prompts I Wish I Had".
"Thank you for calling. Self destruct has been initiated; will occur in thirty seconds. If you believe you have reached this destination in error please enter the twelve digit abort code now or hang up and seek shelter immediately."
"Thank you for calling. Please hold a moment while I locate someone who will put up with your constant complaining and whining."
