Webinar topic: Join Us at the Channel Partners Expo 2012, Las Vegas
When: Thursday, Feb 16, at 2 PM EDT

Are you interested in going to the Channel Partners Conference and Expo in Las Vegas in March? Channel Partners is one of the largest, most well-known conferences for Service Providers, Resellers, and VARs in one of the most energetic cities in the country.

The Duke City Sound is a Barbershop chorus based in New Mexico. They recently switched to OnSIP and we thought it was fitting to feature them now, with Valentine's Day just around the corner. Carlos Aguayo, the vice president of Marketing and PR, spent sometime with us, discussing how OnSIP fits their needs.

What is Duke City Sound?

We're very excited to announce that we'll be offering call park to all of our customers starting today.

Our call park app, which we call Parking Lot, is easy to use. Each call park channel is an empty spot where you "hold" a call, allowing you to move your conversation to any other phone in your OnSIP phone system.

The process of parking is as simple as transferring:

  1. While on the phone with your call, park the call by pressing *44.

One of the most frequent questions that a reseller new to OnSIP asks is, "How can I get started? What do I need?" All you need to do is get in touch with Andy, our channel manager and he'll get you started. On a general note, we discuss how to get started as a VoIP reseller in general, and what you need to become an OnSIP reseller.

One of the long requested features we’ve had at Junction Networks has been the introduction of a parking server, which would allow us to place a call on hold and allow another phone to pick up that call. We will shortly begin rolling out this feature, but one of the questions we dealt with while developing the feature is: what’s the easiest way to let people know that they have that call? We think it’s intercoms and paging systems.

Exploring solutions

By Channel Manager Andy Ogg

Are you an IT solutions provider looking for a reliable voice solution to provide to your clients? Are you a telecom interconnect specialist looking for a Hosted Voice Solution to compete in your market? Or, perhaps you are a business consultant working in a specific vertical, and you need a voice solution that provides features unique to that vertical.

In the first customer feature of the year, we feature Brite Electric, an OnSIP customer for a year and a half. The family-owned company, founded in 1979, specializes in electrical and air-conditioning contract work and services the Central Florida area. Judy Wolek is the president, and she spent some time telling us what she likes most about OnSIP.

Recently, the Center for Exhibition Industry Research announced that the trade show industry was growing, with the number of trade show attendees jumping 3.7% in the third quarter of 2010 and the number of exhibitors by 3.6%, according to the CEIR index. With increasing attendance and sponsorships at such events, the product choices presented to participants will be diverse and numerous.

Our ninth webinar, Switching to OnSIP is Easy will be held on Thursday, Jan 19, at 2 PM EDT.

Are your customers paying exorbitant fees per phone line or tied down by unreasonable contracts? Do they have employees located in many different offices? Do your customers have to deal with bulky equipment? Join CEO, Mike Oeth, and Channel Manager, Andy, as they discuss how easy it is to switch to OnSIP from traditional POTS systems, on-premise PBX systems and competitors' hosted services.
