We've hit an important milestone here as depicted in this photo from my office yesterday. I wonder if anyone can tell. A little help with some of the artifacts in this photo:

Polycom phone: No, we're not celebrating our acceptance into the Polycom Field Verified Partner Program. That happened last year.

Tommy Tutone, I owe you an apology for not calling you back.. So many calls, throughout the day and night, every day of the week for years. You have to understand, you SCARED me!

HELLO....FREAKY STALKER!

I know you found my number on the wall like all the others before but seriously; did you really think you could just call me for a good time? I was not that type of girl!

There’s some important work being done in our New Jersey neighborhood.

A Little Background

We’ve got two offices: one in New York City and one in northern New Jersey. In New York, there’s a Starbucks in the building. And, let’s just say, thanks to the free Starbucks office policy, Starbucks at 55 Broad Street, New York, is doing just fine.

I'm really excited about this new feature. I love the idea that I can sit in a meeting and ignore people's talking while reading my voicemail messages on my iPhone. I think it's going to be a real productivity boost!

Seriously now, this is a great tool. Voicemail can become a real pain, as messages pile up. (You'll see in my video I have 39 collected voicemails.) At first, I was a skeptic. Now, I am impressed by the accuracy of the transcription. It's not perfect, but it's close.

We Won. AGAIN!

On the heels of learning we were Stevie Award winners two weeks ago, we are honored this week to be named one of the Red Herring Top 100 Companies of North America. We’re pumped!

As Nicole wrote in a prior blog, we were nominated for a 2010 American Business Award. Thank you to everyone who read that blog and voted.

I’ve been trying two great hosted services to simplify and improve a business process. So far, the actual services are very promising, but their approaches to making me a customer haven’t been.

Here’s what happened:

Service 1:

  1. Me: Signed up for a free 30 day trial online. Great.
  2. Them: I got one email that said:

After an extensive consulting engagement with our social media marketing guru, we have decided to make an important switch to Cloud Computing. Watch this video to see how we arrived at this important platform choice for OnSIP.

Enjoy!

Actually, we always did.

Is this really a big deal? At OnSIP, it’s a split decision.

If you ask our CTO, he’ll say, ‘What’s the big deal?’ We’re just allowing the phones to do what they are made to do. If you ask our marketing folks, they’ll tell you “Fantastic, HD voice is really cutting edge stuff for a small business at a groundbreaking low price!”
