SipDroid Review

Replace your desk phone with SIPDroid!

Well, maybe not just yet. Rob and Charlotte recently reviewed the SipDroid. We were anxious for a mobile replacement for a desktop phone, ready to receive a 4-digit extension call within our office phone network. We put it to the test with our fingers crossed.

In short, this app is a step in the right direction, and the future of SIP user agents looks promising. It is pretty intuitive for users, and the voice quality was better than expected. However, we observed that the application works best when performing SIP calls on a Wifi network. Throw in extensions, 10 digit telephone numbers, and 3G and you will most likely run into an assortment of problems.

I was looking for a softphone for my Android phone and found SIPdroid but your full review page is down. On my Windows phone I use PortGo with my Onesuite VoIP and now I got an Android I want to check out the best free softphone out there.
