We made a boo-boo. Many companies would love to be featured in TechCrunch, which received more than 2.3 million unique visitors last month, according to Compete.com. That’s probably why Hubspot (Inbound Marketing Software provider) advises, “Stop begging TechCrunch to write about you.” Started in 2005, TechCrunch is one of the top weblogs, spreading the word on innovation and technology. But, guess what? TechCrunch wrote about us, and we didn’t retweet it. We didn’t even comment on it. Because, well, we didn’t see it. And, we are very sorry. On July 2, 2008, a TechCrunchIT writer wrote Junction Networks Launches Whitelabel SIP PBX Service, and we were too busy coding new features and answering customer phone calls to notice. OK, we will admit it: at the time, we were social media newborns. We couldn’t even walk yet. But, since then, we found the post, TechCrunch, and we like it!

“OnSIP is an on-demand telephony service for small to medium sized businesses that allows a customer to offload all their phone requirements to a hosted solution… This technology allows for businesses to take advantage of services like auto attendants, conference bridges, voicemail servers, video conferencing, click-to-call website integration, business hours routing, and voicemail-to-email notifications,” said TechCrunchIT writer Calley Nye.

That was good stuff. Since then, we have come out with new features, including the My.OnSIP interface for customers to chat, view phone and chat presence, and check voicemail. We are working on features for better phone service and an enhanced Unified Communications experience. And, we are now working on building a social community of small businesses and VoIP and Software As A Service enthusiasts. So, in short, we hope TechCrunch hasn’t sworn us off. Because, we love you, TechCrunch.
