iPico iPhone App - Testing Update
Testing version 1.3 of the iPico iPhone SIP client. We have a rule-of-thumb around here that the more SIP settings a SIP user-agent has, the better. Sipura devices have taken that to an extreme, but they do allow you to tweak nearly every aspect of the device.
The new iPico iPhone application is the opposite. It has 7 and only 7 fields. That's only three more than are minimally necessary. The issue for this device is that some form of a STUN server is turned on by default and there is evidently no way to disable it. The STUN server setting is causing Junction Networks not to see that the phone is behind a NAT and therefore not do our NAT-fixup magic which causes the iPico to have one-way audio in many situations.
I have put a request into iPico asking for the ability to disable STUN. I'll let you know what they come back with. Until then, iPico is not recommended for OnSIP compatibility.
