If you're a fan of XML applications and giant LCD displays on your phone, then it doesn't really get much better than this.

We've recently reviewed the Aastra 6739i, the top of the line SIP desk phone with a 5.7" color touch screen display and the upgraded hardware to support wideband audio in all its glory.

We are happy to announce that as part of our soft phone reviews, we will rev up our efforts in reviewing mobile soft phone apps. As Rob, President of Junction Networks, states,

The growing number of VoIP softphone applications for mobile phones is very exciting. Now, if you’re asking the question, ‘Why the heck would I want to download another phone on my… phone?’ bear with me for a moment while I explain.

We've noticed a growing interest in cordless VoIP phones. A number of our customers have asked about DECT (Digitally Enhanced Cordless Technology/Telecommunications) hardware, and whether or not these devices are any good with our service. Since we do focus on being a business phone service provider, we don't always recommend DECT phones because they are mainly aimed at a consumer market. That means they're often slim on features that businesses need; great for talking around the house, but not so great if you want to get fancy.

This blog is written by Joe, who handles billing questions and fraud checks here at Junction Networks. Joe discusses how he uses Salesforce to keep track of customer information and provide quality customer service - In other words, this is an unsponsored expression of our love for Salesforce.

Here is some good news for today: Charlotte re-reviewed the SNOM 320 as a result of a recent inquiry and discovered some improvements.

Replace your desk phone with SIPDroid!

Well, maybe not just yet. Rob and Charlotte recently reviewed the SipDroid. We were anxious for a mobile replacement for a desktop phone, ready to receive a 4-digit extension call within our office phone network. We put it to the test with our fingers crossed.

Remember back in the day when there was no Internet? Back when cars had not been invented and clean water came from a hole in the ground from the town square? Or how about back when traveling meant hopping on a boat for weeks/months at a time, and scurvy was still all the rage? We remember. **

(**: Not really)

We just reviewed the Grandstream GXP 2020. In short, the Grandstream GXP 2020 Enterprise SIP phone is the top end device in the company’s GXP series of phones. The company specializes in very affordable VoIP equipment and the GXP 2020 is no exception. At around $140, this phone is probably one of the most affordable ‘executive class’ user agents on the market.

Recently, we tweeted the question,“What would you like to see in our blog?” and many awesome customers responded. One common theme in responses was: VoIP phone reviews. While we are currently reviewing the Grandstream GXP 2020 (coming soon…), I thought I would point out some of our prior phone reviews in case you missed them. Feel free to comment with your own opinions and what you'd like us to review next!
