Next week, OnSIP CTO John Riordan and lead developer Will Mitchell will speak at two co-located conferences, the HTML5 Communications Summit and the WebRTC Conference and Expo. The conferences both take place on November 18 - 20 at the San Jose Convention Center, and we're looking forward to sharing our latest WebRTC solutions with developers from across the world.

"I'm really excited to have the opportunity to give a keynote presentation, my first keynote ever," said Will Mitchell. "The recent DevCon5 conference spurred a lot of great discussion about WebRTC, SIP, and communications on the Web. Next week, I get a chance to throw my hat into the ring."

Both conferences will give us a chance to show developers how we're putting SIP.js to use, our SIP JavaScript stack designed for WebRTC development. We're also excited to discuss how we fully integrated WebRTC into our mature, scalable real-time communications platform. Here's an overview of the talks our team members will be giving:

  • Will Mitchell will deliver a keynote at the HTML5 Communications Summit, “Federation on the Fragmented Web”, from 12:30 - 2 PM on Tuesday, 11/18. He plans on introducing federation as a core component of HTML5 and the web. He will highlight the value of federation as a means to innovate with examples from WebRTC and SIP while examining the roadblocks that fragmentation on the mobile web has placed.
  • John Riordan will participate in two panels at the WebRTC Conference and Expo: “Signaling for Different Applications” (1:40 - 3PM on Tuesday, 11/18) and “Service Provider Plans” (2:40 - 3:20 PM on Wednesday, 11/19). “Signaling” will focus on the different mechanisms for signaling in WebRTC application development, and “Service Provider Plans” will explore how service providers have implemented WebRTC in their offerings.

The WebRTC Conference and Expo has been a nucleus of WebRTC development and discussion, and it has also bestowed awards on John Riordan in the past. After coming off of this summer's WebRTC Events Tour, we're excited to get back on the road and connect with the growing number of developers who want to incorporate WebRTC into their apps at these two conferences next week.
