As a leading cloud based phone system, OnSIP offers users a feature rich calling experience. What would you say your favorite OnSIP feature is? We asked our own staff – engineers, marketers, support – to vote for their favorite feature. And without further ado, here are OnSIP's greatest hits.

1. Busy Lamp Field (BLF) (17%)

BLF is a feature that allows you to view which of your co-workers is on a call, regardless of whether they're working on site or remotely. Architecting this feature posed a significant problem for our engineers because of OnSIP’s distributed cloud platform. “The challenge in providing BLF was about getting the right information to the right phones no matter where they are connected to the cloud,” said John Riordan, CTO of OnSIP. BLF holds a place near and dear to many of our engineers’ hearts for the unique achievement it represented.

2. HD Conference Suite (14%)

Our High Definition Conferencing Service may be used for hosting multi person teleconferences. Multiple conference suites can be created to host multiple simultaneous conferences. A single suite can handle up to a maximum of 15 simultaneous users. “I like having my own conference suite," says Nicole Hayward, VP of Marketing. "It really comes in handy for scheduling meetings. I don’t need to use a separate service or send out a new 'call-in' number every time – I just tell people to dial a 4-digit extension, and people typically remember it for next time. Plus, when everyone is using a SIP phone, the HD voice clarity is awesome.”

3. Click to Call (10%)

This Google Chrome extension allows a caller to initiate a real time communication session by clicking on an item such as an image or a link. This feature is ideal for support staff and sales employees who are constantly making calls. “I use it all day,” says Sales Representative Don Mancuso. “It allows me to be more efficient, because I don’t have to manually dial the customer’s number from the browser.”

4. Simultaneous Ring (7%)

OnSIP Groups are used to build teams of users. Groups are typically setup with people of a similar function (e.g. sales, support, billing). Simultaneous Ring calls all members of an individual group and the first one to answer gets the call. “It’s very useful so that important calls don’t get missed and go unanswered,” says Mike Steiner. “It allows more than one person/device to be able to grab a call if I’m busy.”
