Sometimes New Yorkers forget what good old-fashioned hospitality is all about. But OnSIP Software Engineer Oren Forer had no trouble summoning this side of him on Friday when an unidentified cyclist dropped his phone. “I picked it up and chased him down about a half mile or so,” Oren said. Little did he know that the cyclist was Celebrity Chef Rocco Dispirito.

“I didn’t recognize him with his sunglasses on,” Oren said. “My only thought was, if I lost my cellphone, I would want someone to return it. He was riding in the opposite direction of my house. So I was veering far away from my destination.”

“He said his name was Rocco and asked if he could do anything for me. I wasn’t immediately sure what he meant. I think he brought up his book. Then I understood. He was quite grateful and wanted to return the favor, so I asked him if he wouldn’t mind giving a plug to my wife’s bakery. He didn’t. He's a super nice guy.”

So there you go— Further proof that OnSIP Engineers are good with phones.
