New Year, New OnSIP Pricing


Today marks an exciting day here at OnSIP. In response to lots of feedback over the years, we have just replaced our 4 pricing packages, which were often met with many questions, with 2 simple plans. The biggest change here is that, in addition to a pay-as-you-go plan, we now offer OnSIP at a monthly, per-seat price. Our pricing page has never looked so clean!

If you're a current customer, you are welcome to keep your existing package. If you are just visiting our website for the first time and are in need of a hosted phone system, welcome to a world of simplicity.



New OnSIP Pricing Plans in Summary

OnSIP now offers two pricing plans; a single account can only take advantage of one plan at a time. Choose what best fits your business:

The Per Seat Unlimited Plan is $29.95 per seat and comes with unlimited standard-area calling, a conference suite per person, and all the phone system features a small to midsize business needs. This plan offers the best value today because it includes: best-in-class features, an unlimited standard calling area that includes calls to 20+ countries, plus OnSIP's industry-leading reliability. This plan is a best fit for companies who desire a dependable, predictable monthly phone bill. Because of the high value offer, this plan requires a 5-seat minimum, and toll-free inbound calling service is not included.

The Pay as You Go Plan (previously known as "a la carte") continues to offer industry-low pricing for businesses with low phone usage. Adding users and phones is free; instead, a business pays for their features and calling actually used. For example, standard area calling is 2.9 cents a minute and voicemail boxes cost $2 / month each. All on-network calling is free.


Pulling Back the Curtain: Was This an Easy Change?

No, actually! Since OnSIP was founded, we've engineered our systems to charge for phone system features and calling minutes— not per seat or per user. Given the growing preference for per-seat pricing in the market, we made the decision months ago to revamp our pricing. Since then, our engineering team has written, tested, and released new tracking and billing code so we can serve up a simple per-seat price. We're glad we did it as we've already received some positive feedback from current and prospective customers. Plus, we're still keeping the Pay As You Go Plan as a nod to our history and to continue to make people who like it happy.


How Does it Stack Up Against Competitors?

We know you probably just jumped down this blog to get to the good stuff. Comparing phone systems is hard, so here are some highlights you may find helpful:
