OnSIP announces the release of its new Chrome Click to Call plugin

Published: February 28, 2011

We're excited to announce the release of the latest version of our Chrome Click-to-Call plugin. In the past, OnSIP users could download this plugin to click-to-call phone numbers in their web browser. We've now added a few features that we hope you'll enjoy using just as much:

  • 1. Click to call SIP addresses, starting with 'sip:'
  • 2. Browser pop-up notifications for both incoming and outgoing calls
  • 3. For Highrise users: automatic call logging in your Highrise account

What is Highrise?

Highrise, the popular web-based CRM tool from 37signals, does a great job of helping us manage contacts, communications, and relationships with customers. We figured that we'd take Highrise's communication tracking a step further by adding automatic call logs. If you happen to be both an OnSIP and Highrise user, a note like the following can appear in your Highrise account when you make or receive a call from one of your Highrise contacts:

"Flower Shop called @ 10:48 AM EST on February 14 By OnSIP."

The following video shows you how to set up and use the Highrise features

For more information about the Highrise functionality and the download link, visit this Highrise-Onsip page in the revamped OnSIP extras section of our site. Be sure to regularly check our extras section for new integrations. We also encourage developers to explore our developer API.
